Our New Chicken Hotel

The new chicken coop had its grand opening on Wednesday 17 August 2022. The Enviro team would like to say a big thank you to Jane from Bunnings Glenfield, for donating the building materials for the refurbished and extended chicken coop and plants. Jane attended our official opening and shared morning tea with us. Our 4 girls, now named – Pecky, Willow, Snowball and Fluffy, are loving their new enclosure. These names were pulled out of a hat from many names suggested by our wonderful students.

A huge thank you to Mrs Murphy for driving this project, sourcing the funding, and organising an amazing opening ceremony. Also to Mr Murphy for building the fabulous coop and the chicken’s new ‘hotel’ and to our hardworking Envirogroup for their continuous work making the gardens look amazing and looking after the chickens.
